A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A CLINICAL MANAGER

As a Clinical Manager, you play an essential role in overseeing the overall coordination of the home health care services we provide for our clients. You manage the day-to-day office and clinical operations of our organization while ensuring that our patients' needs are being met. Acting as a resource for field staff, you make sure that everyone understands their jobs and completes their tasks accordingly. You monitor and complete all task screens as well as review and follow up on complaint forms and all QI reports. In addition, you hold weekly case conference meetings to discuss any issues that pertain to clients.

You also work with human resources to recruit, hire, and train qualified individuals to join our team. As a leader, you ensure that all employees practice infection control by taking universal precautions as well as understand how to identify and report abuse through appropriate action according to policy and law. To ensure your branch doesn't go over budget, you keep careful track of revenue and expenses each month. You take responsibility for the financial impact of all admissions, discharges, and re-certifications that are required as well as analyze what the impact is for each one that occurs.

In addition, you monitor the productivity of your staff and ensure that new hires are given a complete orientation. Each day you arrive to work, you are always on time and ready to tackle any task that comes your way in order to be a good role model for your staff. When needed, you personally see to patients and participate in training activities to keep your knowledge of the field up to date. QUALIFICATIONS FOR A CLINICAL MANAGER

  • Current RN license in good standing from the state of Oklahoma
  • 2 years of nursing experience
  • 1 years of experience in home health care
  • CPR certification or the ability to obtain one within 60 days of being hired
  • Knowledge about Medicare guidelines regarding home health agencies
  • Valid Oklahoma driver's license and vehicle insurance
  • Basic computer skills

WORK SCHEDULE

This full-time RN position works a typical schedule of 8 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday with an administrative on-call rotation.
